A visual roadtrip of the heartland of Missouri

“Across four lanes of concrete and asphalt, tens of thousands of vehicles travel up and down the over 200 miles of Interstate 70 that stretch from Kansas City to St. Louis. Residents commute to work, truck drivers haul goods and families embark on road trips.”
During my last semester at the Columbia Missourian, I stepped up to handle a project that the staffers were working on - “The Pulse of I-70.” I-70, an interstate that crossed Missouri, was getting a makeover, and we challenged the staff to find meaningful stories of Missourians who lived along the I-70 corridor.
My role for the project was handling and making sure that the staffers were getting their stories done, and editing any of the micro-documentaries before they were published on the website. After I left, Molly Fox and Michael Baniewicz took the project and made it into what the project was envisioning.
Below are some of the stories that I helped the staffers while they were at the Missourian.
